Sympathy
Unwanted sympathy is always injurious to one's growth. I am always against it. If possible try to help else leave..don't show sympathy and laugh at their back later.
Expect Nothing
No Girl is Responsible for the feelings you developed within yourself for her without her knowledge or much involvement , If you consider there is a fault in the process,Its yours, completely yours. But I feel it should be an individual call within to consider it as fault or not. Loving a girl is never wrong, Its a beautiful magic thing which gives you great strength if you observe but expect nothing in return, may then you be fine.
